Welcome to the ITBA Research and Doctoral Department.
We promote knowledge and train leaders in research.
Our mission is to promote, disseminate, and support the research, development, and innovation activities carried out within ITBA. We aim to enhance the teaching dimension through the integration of knowledge, interdisciplinarity, and addressing the challenges of knowledge, by positioning our strategic research lines.
The Department, among other functions, works on generating external financing opportunities; on defining and implementing procedures to protect intellectual property rights; and on promoting the commercialization of such rights through licensing and the creation of technology-based companies linked to the University.

Research
All our research is geared towards trying to solve the major problems of our society, addressing them from the themes led by our academic departments such as Environment and Mobility, Society, Economy and Business, Digital Systems and Data, Life Sciences and Complex Systems and Energy.
Ph.D. programs
Academic, research, and/or outreach activities with the socio-productive sector will be the essential foundation for the development of doctoral programs. These programs will seek, among other aspects, to develop solutions to problems where an interdisciplinary and technological approach will contribute to an improvement in the state of the art. Priority will be given to projects that incorporate innovative, interdisciplinary, technological, and/or social perspectives.
