Initiation into Research and Technological Development Challenge
Since 1997, ITBA has promoted the Initiation to Research and Technological Development Challenge with the purpose of awakening scientific vocations and encouraging the active participation of undergraduate and postgraduate students in applied research and technological innovation projects
This initiative seeks to integrate students into real research groups, promoting interdisciplinarity and collaborative work, and giving them the opportunity to develop proposals with an impact on society and industry.
It is designed as a first experience for students:
Propose innovative ideas.
Develop impactful interdisciplinary projects.
They join real research groups.
They will have the support of an academic tutor.

Investigation
Knowledge generation (basic or applied).
Development
Creation or improvement of technological products, services or processes.
Who can participate?
Regular ITBA students (undergraduate or postgraduate), organized in teams of 2 to 6 people, with at least one teacher or researcher as tutor.
Duration
8 months of work, distributed in 2 four-month periods.
Financing
Each project can receive up to $300.000 for development expenses, with a total available fund of $1.800.000.
Awards
Outstanding projects receive awards and special mentions. Furthermore, the project can be integrated into the Final Degree Project.
